CHURCH LIME HAVE PRESENTED A LIME WORKSHOP TO DELEGATES AT THE PRINCE OF WALES SUMMER SCHOOL, LINCOLN CATHEDRAL.
The Prince of Wales Building Crafts Apprentice Programme attracts students from around the world. The annual Residential Summer School studies the role of crafts in the larger building culture. This year's Summer School, 8th to 28th July, was held at Lincoln Cathedral, London and Poundbury and Church Lime were invited, following interviews by the Director of Education, to present a day of lectures and workshops on Lime Mortar, its history and use in our conservation work throughout the UK.
Our practical demonstration and workshop proved popular with the delegates - who donned masks, goggles, hawks and trowells and got stuck in to some pointing and rendering on the sunny North Green of the Cathedral !
The event, organised by The Princes Foundation for the Built Environment's Education Programme, took place in July. See our Press and PR page for more details.
