The Prince's Foundation for the Built Environment is an educational charity which exists to improve the quality of people's lives by teaching and practicing timeless and ecological ways of planning, designing and building.
The team at Church Lime were invited by the Prince's foundation to present a full day of training for the delegates taking part in this year's residential summer school entitled 'The Culture of Building' which took place at Lincoln cathedral in July 2008. Our lecture and workshop helped participants to develop  an in-depth knowledge both of traditional building and repair techniques and how these have been, and can be, applied in the 21st Century. The Summer school at Lincoln cathedral was for the benefit of architects, developers, builders and craftspeople who are interested in building crafts and architecture and how theses factors respond to the local identity of historic contexts in a timeless and ecological way. For more information on Church Lime's contribution to this Summer School please contact The Prince's Foundation for the Built Environment Education and Skills Department on 020 7613 8508 or email education@princes-foundation.org
